Paige Tuck, LPC
Paige Tuck is the Executive Director of Synergy Executive. She provides individual, couples, family, EMDR, trauma counseling and group therapy. Paige has an undergraduate degree from Drury University and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Missouri State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor and a Missouri Associate Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She has experience working with men in addiction and mental health and has a background in the legal and medical fields. She also facilitates education classes on mindfulness, relationship issues, and parenting.
Ann Koetting, LPC
Ann Koetting is the Clinical Director at Synergy Executive. She provides individual, family, and group therapy, and is available for EMDR and trauma counseling. Ann has an undergraduate degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Counseling both from Missouri State University. Ann has worked in the field of addictions since 2007 as both a counselor and the Clinical Advisor at Alternative Opportunities Treatment Services. Ann worked at Missouri State University as an Adjunct Professor in the Counseling Department for 5 years. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and is EMDR certified.
Director of Recovery Support Services
Dan trained as a SMART recovery facilitator in California and brings his knowledge and experience to our clients seeking recovery. Dan facilitates SMART recovery meetings at both residential campuses, and at the Synergy outpatient treatment location. Dan is a role model for men in recovery and provides them with support and guidance throughout their journey in treatment.
Leea is the Medical Director for Synergy Executive. Leea has over 30 years of experience in the medical field and is a Family Practice Physician with Ozarks Community Hospital since 2005 practicing in the Springfield area. She is also a staff physician for Americare Ravenwood Assisted Living/ Memory Unit and Clinic Researcher at QPS Biokinetics. Leea has also previously worked at Cox Hospital, Lakeland Regional Hospital, and Epic/Columbia Hospital of the Ozarks. Leea received a BS in Biology from Truman State University, and her Doctor of Osteopathy from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Leea is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and Board Certified by American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice.family therapy and facilitates education classes on trauma and various other topics.
Amy Meriweather, PhD
Amy is the Clinical Psychologist for Synergy. Amy received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1996. She also has a Masters in Kinesiology. Amy is the owner of Center of Change, LLC, specializing in Health Psychology treatment. She has been a mentor and a role model in her industry with her years of research and professional experience.
Sosunmolu Shoyinka, MD
He is board-certified in General Adult Psychiatry, Community and Public Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He also holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business. His career is dedicated to ensuring access to best-in-class psychiatric treatment to the underserved. This includes inner-city, rural, immigrant, justice-involved, addicted, homeless and other populations.
Following a brief stint as a Senior House Officer in Psychiatry in the UK National Health Service, he trained in General Adult psychiatry at Maimonides Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident in his senior year. Dr. Shoyinka completed fellowships in Psychosomatic Medicine and Public Psychiatry at Yale and Columbia Universities respectively. He also completed a fellowship in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at NYU.
After serving as Director of the Missouri Behavioral Pharmacy Management program, Dr. Shoyinka served as Medical Director for Sunflower and Home State Health Plans of the Centene Corporation. While at Centene, he wrote addiction services policy that covers more than 12 million lives. He also served as clinical lead/subject matter expert in creating addiction-related programs.
Dr Shoyinka’s clinical experience spans multiple settings. These include telemedicine, academic medicine, general private for-profit and state hospitals, forensic, correctional settings, primary care, federally qualified health centers and community mental health settings.
Dr. Shoyinka has served on multiple state committees and national committees. These include the Mental Health Services committee for the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry and the American Psychiatric Association’s Workgroup on Access and Innovation in Psychiatric Care. He has served as an invited speaker at multiple state and national conferences and as a Police Crisis Intervention Team trainer.
Dr Shoyinka maintains an active clinical practice focused on treating individuals with complex behavioral, medical and psychosocial needs.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, photography, writing, martial arts, reading and catching up on the latest movies. His favorite authors are JRR Tolkien and Robert Jordan.
Paula Wiesehan, PMHNP
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Paula is a psychiatric nurse practitioner for Synergy. She received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2016 and has worked full-time in the psychiatric-mental health field for the last 5 years providing inpatient and outpatient mental health services, including addiction and substance use disorders. Paula has a passion for helping others in an empathetic and culturally sensitive manner. She strives to improve upon mental health care and making a difference in the lives of the clients she serves.
Cindy Holiis-Keene, PMHNP
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Cindy is a psychiatric nurse practitioner for Synergy. She has been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, working in a variety of settings. She is a dual certified Advanced Practice Nurse, completing her degrees from the University of Kansas in 2013 and University of Central Missouri in 2009. She is board certified in Family Mental Health and General Family Practice, providing advanced practice care for the past nine years. Cindy has a sincere interest in her work and for helping others. Cindy received Nurse Practitioner of the Year in 2012 in the Four States Business Journal.
Andy White, MAADC-II
Andy is a counselor at Synergy Executive providing individual, family and couples therapy and facilitates treatment groups focusing on anger management, responsible thinking, and trauma. Andy received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Sociology and Criminology from Drury University is a licensed Missouri Associate Alcohol and Drug Counselor II, and is scheduled to complete a Masters in Social Work from Missouri State University in May 2019. Andy is a trained Moral Reconation facilitator and has an extensive history working with mental health needs and substance abuse. Prior to joining Synergy Andy worked providing outpatient counseling and education to clients as well as working in conjunction with the Greene County Drug Court programs.
Andy Sivils, MAADC-II
Andy is a part-time substance abuse counselor and teaches two classes at Synergy Executive, the Brain and Addiction along with Sobriety Maintenance. Andy earned his Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience with a minor in Physics from Drury University in Springfield, MO, and is a licensed Missouri Associate Alcohol and Drug Counselor - II. Along with his education, Andy spent time at Yale in their Clinical Neuroscience Research Unit examining the functional connectivity of patients and healthy controls. In addition to his role at Synergy, Andy is a substance abuse counselor at Correction Services and teaches the Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Program classes through the Missouri DMH. Through his years of experience in recovery and expertise in the neuroscience of addiction, he assists clients in recognizing the true nature of their disease and its treatment.
Mattracea Wendleton, PLPC
Mattracea Wendleton is a counselor at Synergy Counseling Center and facilitates a positive psychology class at Synergy Executive. She earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University in 2017 and is a Nationally Certified Counselor. Mattracea has experience working with children, teens, and young adults. She has specialized knowledge and passion for working with those who struggle with self-harming and self-destructive behaviors. She works with parents to provide support and create stronger and healthier relationships with their child(ren).
Mark Koetting, PhD, MAADC-II
Mark G. Koetting is a full-time Counselor and Missouri Associate Alchohol and Drug Counselor at Synergy Counseling Center. He teaches education classes on co-occurring disorders and dual diagnosis and leads group therapy at Synergy Executive. In 2002, Mark earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida, where he received specialized training in forensic psychology, as well as psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. As a licensed psychologist, he co-founded the San Francisco Forensic Institute, contracted with the California Department of Mental Health, and maintained a private practice in the Bay Area for 11 years. He has extensive experience evaluating and treating individuals with substance-related disorders and serious mental illness.
Kristal McCleary, LPC
Kristal McCleary is a full-time counselor at Synergy Counseling Center. She has her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Missouri State University and is a Missouri Associate Alchohol and Drug Counselor. Kristal facilitates a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills class at Synergy Executive.
Jen Savage, LPC
Jen Savage is a part-time Counselor at Synergy Counseling Center. She facilitates a grief and loss education class and group therapy at Synergy Executive. Jen studied American Sign Language at Texas Tech University and received her Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Evangel University. Jen worked as a substance abuse counselor for four years at Alternative Opportunities Treatment Services and as a Licensed Professional Counselor at Midwest Assessment and Psychotherapy Solutions (MAPS), as an adjunct professor at Missouri State University and Ozarks Technical College.
Community Support Specialist
Heather Myers is the Community Support Specialist at Synergy Executive. Heather assists our clients with meeting their after-care needs while in residential treatment, ensuring that our clients have the support they need within the community to lead a happier and healthier lifestyle. Heather has three years of experience working in substance abuse recovery and is licensed as a Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor II and a Level I Medication Aide. Heather has a close family history of substance abuse, leading to her passion for assisting women in their recovery.
Julie Ast, RN
Julie is a nurse on staff at Synergy Executive. Julie completes an initial health assessment for our clients and is available to assist with any health care or health screening needs. She became a Registered Nurse in 2011 and currently works part-time at the Mercy Orthopedic Hospital. Julie also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management.
Grant trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and has traveled, tasted and cooked all across the country. With over 20 years of Chef experience, Grant specializes in expertly showcasing dishes that allow the ingredients’ flavors, aromas, and nutrients to speak for themselves. Another of his many fortes is bread crafting- if Grant is in the kitchen, you can be sure the smell of fresh bread is in the air!
Brent has been in the culinary field for seven years. He has experience in running fine dining and country club kitchens in Southwest Missouri. He completed a one-year apprenticeship in butchery and charcuterie. Brent was a personal chef before coming to Synergy Executive. He enjoys cooking with locally sourced ingredients to create unique and delicious meals.
